Rodney Gerard Medeiros
Rodney Gerard Medeiros, 70, of Lihue, passed away on Aug. 5, 2019. He was born on Kauai on May 25, 1949, and worked in airport maintenance for the state of Hawaii Department of Transportation Airports Division.
He was preceded in death by mother Alice Medeiros and brother Calvin Medeiros.
He is survived by father Manuel Medeiros, son Richard (Shelly) Medeiros, daughters Leila (Abe) Kuhaulua and Ziba (Colin Nakamura) Medeiros, nieces Alyssa (Hanson Hsu) Kaneakua and Cherina (Tony Laborte) Medeiros, grandchildren Ashley, Ashkhon, Daisha and Rashaan Kuhaulua, Naja, Collin, Noah and Fehryn Pungan, Bayleigh and R.J. Medeiros, and five great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Aug. 17, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Bryan J. Baptiste Sports Complex, the large pavilion behind the Kapaa skate park near the roundabout.

Darrell Gene Amorin
Darrell Gene Amorin, 60, went home to be with the Lord on June 17, 2019. He was born July 15, 1958 at Wilcox Memorial Hospital in Lihue, and was a painter for many years.
He was preceded in death by parents Frank and Maria Amorin.
He is survived by children Emerson (Amber) Amorin, Jennifer (Keola) Amorin and Lea Amorin, sisters Priscilla (Osang) Miguel and Carol (Ron) Dias, brother Harold Amorin, and several grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Aug. 24, at Kauai Veterans Center in Lihue. Visitation is from 8:30 a.m. and services celebrated at 10 a.m. The family suggests casual attire.
Teodoro O. ‘Teddy’ ‘Boy’ ‘Godo’ Gorospe Jr.
Teodoro O. “Teddy” “Boy” “Godo” Gorospe Jr. was born on May 15, 1952 at Wilcox Memorial Hospital.
He passed away on July 8, 2019, at the age of 67, at Queen’s Hospital on Oahu, with his loving wife Dee Dee and sister Nadeen by his side.
He was preceded in death by father Teodoro O. Gorospe Sr., sister Rose Marie Gorospe, uncle and brother-in-law.
He was a cook at the Coco Palms and Sea Shell Restaurant, and retired from Akita Enterprises, where he was a school bus driver.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50½ years Deanne “Dee Dee” Worthington Gorospe of Kapahi, daughter Rynda (Daniel “Danny”) Gorospe Ka‘aihue of Kapaa, sons Dustin Gorospe of Kapahi, Ryan (Delrae “Kaleo”) Gorospe-Keli‘ipule‘ole of Kapahi, grandchildren Courtney Gorospe, Kalin “Waikaula” (Nissa Raposas) Gorospe-Keli‘ipule‘ole, Kelsie “Honey-Girl” Gorospe-Keli‘ipule‘ole, Daniel “Mana Boy” Gorospe-Ka‘aihue, Makoa Gorospe, Kainalu “Kai Boy” Gorospe-Ka‘aihue, Kaison “Walea” Gorospe-Keli‘ipule‘ole, two hanai sons, mother Rose Villanueva-Alviar, brothers Richard Dale “Sonny” (Rubelyn A. “Ruby”) Gorospe Tolentino of Kapaa, Conrado “Dado” (Corazon “Cora”) Gorospe of Kapaa, James “Jimmy” (Sue) Macasio of Seneca, Kanas, Steve Elder of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Scott “Scotty” (Cindy) Elder of Knoxville, Tennessee, sisters Adeline (Howard Toki II) of Lihue, Leonora “Nora” (Michael) Ornellas of Kapaa, Nadeen Aliveado of Wahiwa, Oahu, Norine “Girlie” (John) Goas of Pennsylvania and Denise (Edward “Eddie”) Alamillo of Makawao, Maui, and numerous aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Services will be held on Saturday, Oct. 26, at St. Catherine Church, with visitation from 8 to 9:55 a.m., with Mass and services to be held at 10 a.m.
A celebration of life will be held at St. Catherine Parish Hall behind the church after the Mass.
A scattering of ashes will be held at a later date.
Oahu Cemetery and Crematory Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
