BERLIN — German police say two little brothers left a path of destruction in their Bavarian village after running away from home.
Police spokesman Alexander Horn said Tuesday the four- and six-year-old boys from Kulmbach ran away Monday afternoon, stealing a neighbor’s gas burner and torching parts of a garage. They then flooded another neighbor’s basement, before stealing an aerosol can and spraying white varnish across other neighbors’ doors and two cars. A neighbor eventually noticed the damage and called police.
Officers took the brothers to the local youth welfare office which called the mother to pick up her sons.
Horn said they were still investigating the exact details of the boys’ destructive path which caused damage of around 15,000 euros (16,780 dollars) — which the parents will have to pay for.
