Eveline Ruth Pascua Corpuz passed away on July 13, 2019. She was born on Feb. 26, 1957, and worked as a certified nurses aide.
She is preceded in death by her mother Esmenia P. Pascua; father Jaime S. Pascua.
She is survived by her husband Rogelio L. Corpuz; siblings, Rodney (Jan) Pascua, Delia (Allen) Tumbaga, Edwin (Mely) Pascua; nephews, Bryson (Hosanna) Tumbaga, Cyrus (Beverly) Tumbaga, James (Jaimie W.) Pascua; nieces, Jaimie (Severino Jr.) Pascua, Tiana Bee (Harold) Pascua; grandnephews and grandnieces, Jayvier Butay, Sylas Butay, Xaileia Hoopii, Marley Jay Wakumoto-Pascua, Evelia Tumbaga, Darius Jace Tumbaga; numerous aunties, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends.
Friends may visit with the family on Friday, Aug. 16, 2019, at Borthwick Kauai Mortuary Chapel, Koloa. Service at will be held at 6 p.m. Services will also be held on Saturday, Aug. 17, 2019, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kalaheo with visitation at 8:30 a.m. and Mass to be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. There will be a burial to follow at Hanapepe Public Cemetery

Yukitoshi (Boogie) Kusaka
Yukitoshi (Boogie) Kusaka passed away at Garden Island Health Care on March 13, 2019, at the age of 87. He was born on Jan. 13, 1932. He retired from the Carpenters Union. He also served in the U.S. Marines, and was a Corporal in the Korean War.
He is preceded in death by son Dwayne Kusaka; parents Robert and Masaji Kusaka; brother-in-law, Akira Teramoto; nephew Lester Teramoto; brother-in-law Gerry Kikuta.
He is survived by wife Fely Kusaka; son Royden (Weena) Kusaka of Lihue; daughter Norine (Val) Kusaka of Lihue; grandchildren; brothers, Charles (Mayor Maryanne) Kusaka of Wailua, Henry (Lynn) Kusaka of Lihue; sisters, Helen Teramoto of Honolulu, Kay (Lamont) Shadowens of California, Chieko (Harry) Ehara of California, Dorthy Kikuta of Honolulu; numerous nieces and nephews.
Celebration of Life will be held on Aug. 10, 2019 at Niumalu Pavilion at noon. Family suggests casual attire.

Gloria Valdez Kaauwai
Gloria Valdez Kaauwai, 72, of Lihue, passed away on July 28, 2019. She was born in the Philippines on Oct. 17, 1946, and was a housekeeper at Hyatt Regency on Kauai.
She was preceded in death by her husband Steven Kaauwai; grandson Gerry Rayray Jr.
Gloria is survived by her children, Glenda (Joe) Ola, Gerry (Tracy) Rayray Sr., Gavino (Tonya) Rayray, Stephanie (Jeff) Escott and Barbara Kaauwai; grandchildren, Cherelle Ola Freeman, Cobie Cardinez, Ashley Rayray, Geron Rayray, Autumn Rayray, Amelia Rayray, Sean Mullikin, Kylie Ola, Conner Mullikin, Hunter Escott, Kalani Escott, Amanda Ola and Micha Mullikin.
A celebration or Gloria’s life will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2019, at Immaculate Conception Church. Visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m., services to follow at 10 a.m. and burial at Kauai Memorial Gardens.

Cindy Leiala Pahulehua Kaohelaulii, 49, passed away on July 30, 2019. She was born on July 5, 1970.
She is survived by her husband Jacob Enoka Kaleihoohie Kaohelaulii; her sons, Jacob Elia Kaleihoohie Kaohelaulii of Makaweli, Daniel Craig Nakai Pahulehua of Makaweli, Gilbert Kahuialoha Kaohelaulii of Makaweli, Zachary-Garrette-Keikiokamalu Kaohelaulii of Makaweli, Gavin Kalena Hanohano Pahulehua of Makaweli; daughters, Rachel-Renee Leiana Kahelani Kaohelaulii, Cassie Leipuala Pahulehua, Sara Lei Kananionaleopule Pahulehua; three grandchildren; numerous uncles, aunties, nieces, nephews and cousins.
