Rylee Pavao wasn’t at the Queen Liliuokalani Keiki Hula, but instead joined Aloha Med Spa owner Kim Stuck in talking about the new place that is going to open very shortly in the Dynasty Court, and Kyle La Benz (loved that rendering of Hi‘ilawe made famous by Gabby Pahinui) was stuck on the outside (Candace Boxer of Ono Pops was eyeing the lychee in the fruit baskets that had some Yoshi-grown Sugarloaf pineapples) despite the heat driving the crowd inside for the air conditioning.
Carol Texeira said the “Creating a Thriving Hawaii” with Micah Kane and Duane Kurisu (how many of you remember the Winter League with Ichiro Suzuki, Jason Giambi, and other MLB greats?) is filling up so time to make reservations for the Aug. 1 luncheon at the Sheraton Kauai Resort.
