Alexis Iwalani Camacho
Alexis Iwalani Camacho, better known be all of us as Lani, was born in Lihue at Wilcox Hospital on Dec. 6, 1958, to Hilda Apuakahei Maka Zaima and James Kaname Zaima Sr.
She always had a love for the ministry and enjoyed helping people learn what the Bible teaches. Lani was baptized at Lydgate Beach Park, in Morgan’s Pond as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, on June 3, 1973, at the age of 14. She spent many of her summers in the vacation pioneer work; temporary pioneer work and auxiliary pioneer work as we know it today. Lani married Arturo Camacho on Nov. 2, 1991. Thereafter, she auxiliary pioneered for 2 years until she joined Artie as a regular pioneer on Jan. 1, 1994. She was in the pioneer work until her death on July 13, 2019.
She is pre-deceased by her mother Hilda Apakahei Maka Zaima; father James Kaname Zaima Sr.; brother James Kaname Zaima Jr.
She is survived by her husband Artie Camacho; brother Clesson Akira Zaima of Adak, Alaska; sister LaVerne Brede of Anahola; step-son Dathan Camacho of Arkansas; step-mother Gwen Fujimoto Zaima of Lihue; step-sisters, Lisa, Cora and June Fujimoto; step-brother Eric Fujimoto; numerous aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, grand nephews, cousins and friends.
Services to be held on July 27, 2019, at the Garden Island Mortuary Chapel in Lawai. 9 to 11 a.m. visitation. Celebration of life beginning at 11 a.m., with lunch to follow. Flowers to be omitted.

Alan K. Kahale
Alan K. Kahale, passed away in Lihue, on July 17, 2019, at the age of 57. He was born on Jan. 2, 1962, on Puuwai Niihau. He was a Rancher.
He is survived by wife Gladys Leiawapuhi Pahulehua Kahale of Kekaha; sons, Allen Kaleionalani Kahale Jr (Nawai) of Kekaha, Jay Lalanakaiinilani Niau III of Kekaha, Jacob K. (Bridget) Kaohelaulii of Keawanui Camp; daughters, Melveen Ella Kaleiawapuhimaileokalani Kanahele (Derek) of Puuwai Niihau, Gina Kahokuokalani Shintani (Aaron) of Puuwai Niihau, Courtney K. (Gabriel) Kanahele of Pakala, Dolly Kapuaonaona Roback of Ewa, Oahu; grandchildren, Kurtson Kawaimanaokalani Kahale, Heluialeilea Zhara-Eve Shintani; parents James Kaomealani Kahale and Salala Mailelaulii Keamoai Kahale; brothers, James K. Kahale Jr (Grace) of Keawanui Camp, Ricky N. Kahale (Amy) of Kekaha; sisters, Debbie (Lani) Kanahele of Kekaha, Laurie-Ann (Mitchel) Kali of Hanapepe; numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins
Services will be held on July 27, 2019, at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Kekaha, 8640 Kiowea Rd. with visitation from 2 to 4 p.m. There will be a burial at the Kekaha Hawaiian Cemetery. Family suggest casual attire, flowers welcome.
