LIHUE — Hear updates on humpback whale research, education, outreach in an upcoming advisory council virtual meeting for the Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary, set for Aug. 13 at 9 a.m.
Councilmembers will join via teleconference for the meeting, which is open to the public. Topics also include an update on the superintendent and Navy research in Hawaii.
The virtual meeting is set to run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., with a public comment opportunity scheduled for 12:20 p.m.
