Pay phones
The old Hawaiian Telcom pay phones around the island are in disrepair and becoming safety hazards. Can the county work with Hawaiian Telcom to remove these hazards, including one at Kapaa Beach Park near the statue?
The Department of Parks and Recreation will work with Hawaiian Telcom to remove all pay phones at county parks.
Chickens at Historic County Building
Can the county look into trapping and possibly relocating the chickens near the Historic County Building? The chickens are causing many holes on the lawn, which are a hazard for the public using the area.
The Department of Parks and Recreation will look into eradicating chickens in this park. Also, the County of Kauai Employee Council is scheduled to fill in the chicken holes on Saturday, Aug. 24.

I lived in Waimea until 2015. The chickens started crowing about 10PM
Then crowed all during the night. They dug holes all through our lawn as well as all the school lawns. I finally had enough and started trapping them. Some I relocated and some I killed. In about 3 years I did away with more than 500( I quit counting. ) Some where around Waimea some of my traps should still be there. Very effeciant
