HONOLULU — Honolulu police are seeking a suspect after a man was seriously injured in a highway shooting.
News organizations reported Wednesday that a 20-year-old man was in serious condition after the shooting around 3 p.m. Wednesday.
Police say a 22-year-old man fired several shots and then fled the scene in the area of an on-ramp to the Pali Highway.
Authorities say the victim was shot in his middle and lower body and transported to a hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.
Reports said the shooting may have been the result of a road rage altercation.
Police say the case has been classified as an attempted second-degree murder and is still under investigation.
The Punchbowl ramps along the H-1 Freeway were closed during the investigation on the road shoulder.
