Edward ‘Goto’ Sarmiento
Edward “Goto” Sarmiento passed away at Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital on June 20, 2019 at the age of 67.
He was born on Oct. 30, 1951, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital, and worked as a groundskeeper.
He was preceded in death by parents Pablo and Juanita Sarmiento and brother Robert Sarmiento.
He is survived by wife Apryle Sarmiento, sons Cory (Michelle) Sarmiento of Kekaha and Kauhi (Lilian) Sarmiento of Waimea, daughter Shaylise Sarmiento of Eleele, hanai daughter Girley (Troy) Napohaku of Hanapepe, brothers Pablo (Nadia) Sarmiento of Koloa, Stanley (Alicia) Sarmiento of Kapaa and Richard (Choco) Sarmiento of Lihue, sisters Loretta Salcedo of Lihue, Gloria Domingo of Puhi, Roseline Sherman of Port Hueneme, California, Consolacion (Edgar) Salcedo of San Diego, Priscilla (Wesley) Ladera of Hanamaulu and Marie Relacion of Long Beach, California, grandchildren Shylah, Zayden, Zion and Hezekiah Sarmiento, great-grandchild Zaileah, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be held on Saturday, July 20, at the Westside Christian Fellowship in Kekaha. Visitation is from 9 a.m. with a celebration of life service to begin at 10 a.m.
The family requests casual attire.
Garden Island Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.
