Marta Segismundo Dolor
Marta Segismundo Dolor, 92, of Puhi, passed away at Wilcox Medical Center on May 14, 2019. She was born in Santa Maria, Ilocos Sur, Philippines on Feb. 15, 1927, and retired from Hanamaulu Café.
She is preceded in death by her husband Arsenio Dolor; 4 sisters and 2 brothers.
Marta is survived by 8 children, Clarita (Luis-deceased) Moises of Puhi, Teresita (Dominador) Tarape of Guam, Norma (Florentino) Villanueva of California, Emilia (Danilo) Guzman of Lihue, Generosa (Ernesto) Cantoria of California, Dante (Belinda) Dolor of Kapaa, Elsie (Ramirez) Dolor of Hanamaulu, Gilbert Dolor of Puhi; 22 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, July 5, 2019, at Immaculate Conception Church, with viewing from 8 to 9:45 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.

Edward ‘Goto’ Sarmiento
Edward “Goto” Sarmiento passed away at Kauai Veterans Center on June 20, 2019, at the age of 67. He was born on Oct. 30, 1951, at Wilcox Hospital and worked as a groundskeeper.
He is preceded in death by his parents Pablo and Juanita Sarmiento; brother Robert Sarmiento.
He is survived by his wife Apryle Sarmiento; sons, Cory (Michelle) Sarmiento of Kekaha, Kauhi (Lilian) Sarmiento of Waimea; daughter Shaylise Sarmiento of Eleele; hanai daughter Girley (Troy) Napohaku of Hanapepe; brothers, Pablo (Nadia) Sarmiento of Koloa, Stanley (Alicia) Sarmiento of Kapaa, Richard (Choco) Sarmiento of Lihue; sisters, Loretta Salcedo of Lihue, Gloria Domingo of Puhi, Roseline Sherman of Port Hueneme, Consolacion (Edgar) Salcedo fo San Diego, Priscilla (Wesley) Lardera of Hanamaulu, Marie Relacion of Long Beach California; grandchildren:, Shylah, Zayden, Zion, Hezekiah Sarmiento; great grandchild Zaileah; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2019, at the Westside Christian Fellowship in Kekaha. Visitation on Saturday will be held from 9 a.m. with a celebration of life service to begin at 10 a.m. Family requests casual attire

Larry K. Tokuhara
Larry K. Tokuhara passed away at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on June 16, 2019, at the age of 79. He was born on March 23, 1940, in Makawao, Maui. He was an electrician.
He is preceded in death by parents Isamu and Masayo Tokuhara; brother Jimmy Tokuhara.
He is survived by wife Patricia Tokuhara of Kapaa; sons, Larry Tokuhara, Jr. of Honolulu, Kevin Tokuhara of Kapaa; daughters, Carrie Sumie, Leeann Tokuhara; hanai sons, Lloyd Chow of Lihue, Kamu Van Gieson of Kapaa, Lew Asai of Oregon, of Honolulu, Roven Toai of Kapaa; grandchild Jayson Tokuhara; brother Harry (Sandy) Tokuhara of Honolulu; sisters, Jane (Stanley) Yagi of Honolulu; numerous aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins
Services will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2019, at Garden Island Mortuary in Lawai. Visitation with family is from noon to 1 p.m. Service will follow at 1 p.m. There will be a burial at a later date. Aloha attire suggested. Flowers welcome.

Seikichi Tamashiro
Seikichi Tamashiro passed away in Waimea, on June 11, 2019, at the age of 94. He was born on Dec. 19, 1924, in Waimea. He was a mill worker in Kekaha Sugar Company, self employed painter and a Japanese tour guide with Island Tours.
He is survived by his sons, Leslie Tamashiro of Kauai, Lindsey Tamashiro of Oregon; daughters, Nancy (Neil) Okinaka of Hilo, Irene (Myles) Hironaka of Kauai; grandchildren, Alex O’Neal, Gabriel O’Neal, Ryan O’Neal; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Jordan Daniel Kealoha Tehero
Jordan Daniel Kealoha Tehero, a passionate skydiver, 23, of Kalaheo, passed away on June 21, 2019, on Oahu. He was born in Wailuku, Maui on Oct. 1, 1995, and worked at Blue Knights Services Hawaii as a Security Guard and a Specialist in the Hawaii Army National Guard.
Jordan is survived by his parents Garret Tehero and Colleen Anama-Tehero; brothers, Chad Pomaika’i Tehero, Troy (Jenna) Kapena Tehero, Isaac Keahi Tehero; sister Shawnee-Nicole Auli’i Tehero; grandparents, Barbara Anama, Richard (Judy) Anama Sr., Joseph Tehero; nephews, Alaka’i, ‘Aukai and Ashton.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, July 12, 2019, at Kauai Veterans Center in Lihue with visitation from noon and services beginning at 2:30 p.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens. The celebration of Jordan’s life will continue after the burial at Kauai Veteran’s Center.

Bertha Jean Souza De Costa, of Makaweli, passed away on June 16, 2019, at the age of 83. Born in Koloa, on July 10, 1935, she was retired from Big Save Inc.
Preceded in death by parents Frank and Daisy Souza; husband Vincent De Costa; son Michael Alan De Costa; brother Albert Souza
She is survived by: one daughter Theresa Christine De Costa Koki of Makaweli; three sons, Vincent James (Gerlinda) De Costa of Lawa’i; Damien Mitchell De Costa Sr. of Kalaheo, Craig Anthony De Costa of Lihue; ten grandchildren, Keola James (Courtney Brown) De Costa, Vincent Kapono (Kathlen Lee) De Costa, Alanna Kuulei (Taniela Tuakoi) De Costa, Clifton Ikaika De Costa, Nicole Nalani De Costa, Damien Mitchell De Costa, Jr., Sheree Chiemi (Preston) McCormack, Ciarra Kimi (J. Michael Scovel) Koki, Bronson Joel Shigeshi (Beverly) Koki, Holden James Akira (Amber Matsuyoshi) Koki; one step grandchild Kylan John Napualani (Monesa Malapira) Holt; 20 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, godchildren and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, July 13, 2019, at Sacred Heart of Jesus & Mary Catholic Church in Waimea. Visitation is at 8:30 a.m. with Mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Kekaha Public Cemetery.
