Congratulations to Sha Ali Ahmad of Ahmad Couture and local businesswoman Marynel Valenzuela on a great 7th Annual Kauai Fashion Weekend (didnt get to see Sue Kanohos latest Sha creation, yet) that wrapped up, Saturday (Mayor Derek Kawakami he even had a stop at the Kauai Pride Parade scheduled , Kaleo Carvalho, and Mark Perriello had a long day starting with the mayor-a-thon and walking the runway!) at the Kauai Marriott Resort and Beach Club (even Paul Toner got his turn on the runway)!

Christiane Love might be a “Budding Designer (that’s Sha’s word),” but she could hold her own against the more established names like Louda LaRrain, Barbara Green of Definitely Baba (she’s got the Terno Ball coming up in September!), and Taryn Rodighero of Kaikini Bikini.
Okay, we go back to the Kauai Marriott, Thursday when the Kauai Chamber of Commerce hosts its Business After Hours with Pro Service Hawaii from 5 p.m. at the Puna Court.
And, the Hilton Garden Inn goes full-bore into summer, Friday when Ilima Rivera presents Kauai Kau Wela with performances by Tepairu Manea, Haunani Kau and Aunty Bev. Kauanui, and more.
