Kauai police have identified the man who died Saturday after being pulled from in waters off Polihale Beach as Robert Boswell, 53, of Roswell, Georgia.
Kauai police have identified the man who died Saturday after being pulled from in waters off Polihale Beach as Robert Boswell, 53, of Roswell, Georgia.
A family member called 911 about 3:25 p.m. when Boswell was seen unresponsive in the water. Bystanders pulled him to shore and began CPR until firefighters from the Kauai Fire Department and U.S. Navy Pacific Missile Range Facility at Barking Sands responded to assist.
American Medical Response medics also responded, and rescuers continued lifesaving efforts while they transported Boswell to Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waimea, where he was pronounced dead.
