Kaui Sr.
Richard Cummings Kaui Sr. of Keahapana Valley passed away at the age of 77 on Tuesday, May 7, 2019, at Pali Momi Medical Center on Oahu, surrounded by his family. He was born Aug. 11, 1941, on Kauai.
He retired as a district road overseer, stationed at Hanalei Baseyard,after 33 years with the County of Kauai Deparatment of Public Works.
He is survived by wife Jane L. Kaui, children Daniel Pohaku (Rochelle) Kaui of Kapahulu, Oahu, Joanne Katherine Griffin of Dallas, Pamela S.K. (Brian) Kaui-Baligad of Wailua Homesteads, Christy L.P. Kaui of Forest Grove, Oregon, Randolph “Randy” Kalihilihiokala (Erin) Kaui of Bellingham, Washington, Richard “Ricky” (Luci) Kaui Jr. of Keahapana Valley, Scott Kalani (Aulani) Kaui Sr. of Keahapana Valley, and Sharolyn “Mele” Maliana Kaui of Keahapana and Kunia, Oahu, grandchildren Kaleinani Fumiyo Kaui, Kevin Keala Kaui Sr., Krystal Kini Kaui, Ryan Keola Kaui, Nicole Pa‘aikanoemakamailani Moore, Calvin Justin Griffin, Clemont Devern Griffin, Reginald Kenard Griffin, James Corey Griffin, Bryson Keli‘i Baligad, Brandi Kanani Baligad, Sherice Kealalani Almazan, Shaun Kekoa Almazan, Kamalulokelani J. Kaui, Carolyn Keli‘ikapaole Kaui, Creighton Kalihilihiokala Kaui, Brittany Mahealani Kaui, Scott Kalani Kaui Jr., Richard Wayne Kaulana Kaui, Kalia Kanoelani Kaui, Aulani Leipuamakamae Kaui and Maliana Ka‘iulani Kaui, 13 great-grandchildren, sister Irene Miyashiro of Kapahi, and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and co-workers.
Services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Kapaa Ward on Saturday, June 29, with public viewing from 9 to 11 a.m., chapel services from 11 a.m. to noon, with burial to follow at the Kaui family cemetery in Keahapana Valley, and luau to follow in Keahapana Valley.
Nuuanu Mortuary and Garden Island Mortuary are assisting the family with arrangements.
Cupertino ‘Tino’ Vibangco Valmoja
Cupertino “Tino” Vibangco Valmoja, 68, of Kapaa, passed away at Straub Clinic and Hospital on Oahu on May 31, 2019. He was born in San Juan, Ilocos Sur, Philippines, on Sept. 18, 1950, and retired from state Department of Transportation Harbors Division as a maintenance man.
He was preceded in death by parents David and Dolores Valmoja, and granddaughter Kailee Lynn Valmoja Freitas.
He is survived by wife Angelina B. Valmoja, children Michael (Eve) Valmoja of Kapaa, Cheridan (Travis) Valmoja of Kalaheo, Billy Valmoja of Kapaa and Chad (Shandiin) Valmoja of Kalaheo, grandchildren Travis Valmoja, Shaileah Valmoja Pigao, Kaysha Valmoja Freitas, Trestyn Valmoja, Travis Freitas Jr., Taeani Valmoja, Kenzie Valmoja, Kaizley Valmoja and Kaizen Valmoja, brothers Artemio (Betty) Valmoja of Las Vegas, Mario (Zeny) Valmoja of Hanamaulu, David Valmoja Jr. of Lihue, Freddie (Celia) Valmoja of California and Pauly (Laplane) Valmoja of Hanamaulu, sisters Lagrimas (Vic) Villon of Lihue, Expedita (Greg) Soriano of Las Vegas and Rosemarie (Romell) Guerrero of California, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 21, at Immaculate Conception Church, with viewing from 8 to 9:30 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.

Leighton Roy Cabreira Sr.
Leighton Roy Cabreira Sr., 68, of Kapaa, passed away at home on June 10, 2019. He was born in Hilo, Hawaii, on July 9, 1950, and was the owner of Cabreira’s Plumbing.
He was preceded in death by father Oliver Cabreira Sr., mother Ethel Martinez, and brother Oliver Cabreira Jr.
He is survived by his wife Ann Cabreira, father Manuel Martinez, sisters Gwen Cabreira and Carol Kekaulua, brother Joey (Juanita) Cabreira, children Leighton (Shawnita) Cabreira Jr., ClaraLei (Doug) Peterson, Kevin (Kimie) Cabreira Sr., Kelly (Ken) Parkman and Scott (Leah) Burton, grandchildren Leighton Cabreira III, La‘akea Cabreira, Shawnissa Cabreira, Cris Cabreira, Cierra Peterson, Kayen Cabreira, Sade Reuarin, Matthew (Brittney) Cabreira, Casey Greenwood, Kevin Cabreira Jr., Preston Cabreira, Cody Cabreira, Kailee Cabreira, Samantha Cabreira, Elise Burton and Samuel Burton, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 29, at Aloha Church, with visitation from 10 a.m. and services beginning at 11:30 a.m.

Glenn Joseph Lardizabal
Glenn Joseph Lardizabal passed away on April 9, 2019, at the age of 64, in Lihue.
He was born on March 25, 1955, and was the owner of Lee’s Rentals. He also served in the Hawaii Air National Guard.
He was preceded in death by wife Karen Lee Lardizabal of Lihue and father Mauricio Lardizabal Sr.
He is survived by daughter Lynn “Binky” Goo, son-in-law Jesse Goo, granddaughters Jessie and Jia Marie Goo, all of Wailua, mother Solidad E. Fernandez, stepfather Baco Fernandez, brothers Maurice (Florence) Lardizabal Jr. of Lihue, Alfred (Heidi) Lardizabal of Oahu and Reynard Fernandez of Puhi, sisters Maureen (Zachary) Octavio of Rio Rico, Arizona, and Regina Aiken of Kent, Washington.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 29, at the Niumalu Canoe Club at Kalapaki at 11 a.m.

M. McKenna
Doris “Dolores” M. McKenna was born on March 6, 1925 in Des Moines, Iowa. She moved to Kauai in 1976 where she resided until she passed peacefully on June 1, 2019, at the age of 94.
She was a homemaker.
She is survived by sons Patrick (Diane) McKenna of Arroyo Grande, California, Timothy (Cathy) McKenna of Kekaha, and Dennis McKenna of Nipomo, California, daughters Peggy (Gary) Yatsuoka of Waimea, and Sheila (Alfred) Ringor of Puhi, hanai daughter Cindy Foresee of Shell Beach, California, eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, June 24, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waimea, with visitation from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. and Mass at 10 a.m.
Burial will follow at Kekaha Public Cemetery.

Ronald ‘Ronnie’ Wayne Perreira Sr.
Ronald “Ronnie” Wayne Perreira Sr. passed away at his residence in Kalaheo on June 10, 2019, at the age of 72. He was born on Jan. 2, 1947, on Kauai.
He served in the U.S. Air Force shortly after graduating high school, from 1965 to 1969. After the service, he was a truck driver for Hale Kauai Trucking Company, which eventually became Jas. W. Glover, Ltd.
He was preceded in death by son Ronald “Ronnie Boy” Wayne Perreira Jr. and father George Perreira Sr.
He is survived by wife Valerie Perreira of Kalaheo, parents George Sr. and Hilda Perreira, sons Greg (Kelly) Perreira of Kalaheo and Jason Perreira of Kalaheo, grandchildren Kiley (Tiana Kojiri) Perreira, Brennan Perreira, Pualilia Perreira, Brigg Perreira, Gianni (Mark Serrano) Perreira-Serrano, Gheymee Perreira and Rhyder Kupo-Perreira, great-grandchildren Kolten Kojiri-Perreira, brothers George (Charmaine Wong) Perreira Jr. of Kalaheo, Michael (Michelle) Perreira of Kalaheo, Tommy Perreira of Kalaheo, sisters Loretta (Walter Ritte) of Molokai, Kris (Wilmar) Sagucio of Kalaheo, and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Services will be held on Thursday, June 20, at Garden Island Mortuary in Lawai, with visitation from 10 to 11 a.m., and celebration of life at 11 a.m.
