BARKING SANDS — Fireworks and food are stacking up at U.S. Navy Pacific Missile Range Facility as the base gets ready for its annual “Most West Freedom Fest” happening Wednesday, July 3, from 5 to 11 p.m.
It’s an afternoon of games and food trucks, crafts and vendors, all set up on the lawn of Shenanigans restaurant overlooking Majors Bay. Headlining entertainment is Hawaii The Green, alongside Kauai groups The Homestead Band and KA HA.
As the sun goes down, PMRF plans to light up the sky with a fireworks show celebrating Independence Day. PMRF spokespeople say it’s going to be “an even bigger fireworks display than last year.”
Gates open at 4 p.m. Free parking is available on base. Due to security requirements, adult visitors are asked to have a valid photo identification card.
Admission is free.

Unfortunately i cannot make it this year. I’m from Honolulu. I am usually a pyrotechnic fan. But since i have a Korean girl friend now, i lost interest in pyrotechnic.
