Alan Gerardo
Alan Gerardo was born on June 15, 1958, in Lihue. He passed away peacefully in his home in Ridgecrest, California, at age 60, on Feb 2, 2019.
Chief Alan Gerardo served in the United States Navy and also worked for the navy as a civil servant. He retired after 24 years.
Alan was preceded in death by his parents James and Mary Gerardo and sisters Marylyn Gerardo and Kathy Louis.
He is survived by his wife Marites Gerardo; children, Kari Momi (Bryan Rapsholdt) Gerardo, Lori (Zef Perales) Long, Christine (Joven) Haramura, Sophia Dame, Brian Dame; six grandchildren, James, Jordyn, Jaylin, Chimera, Serenity, Jareth; his siblings, Joyce (Terry) Daligdig, James K Gerardo, Alison (Clayton) Silva, Brenda (Rey) Coloma and Brian (Shanell) Gerardo Sr., brother-in-law Mathew Louis Sr., Jerry Aquias; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Services, including military rites were held at Saint Ann Church in Ridgecrest, California, on Feb. 16, 2019.
A celebration of life with prayer service is planned for Saturday, June 15, 2019, at Hanamaulu Beach Park at 10 a.m.
The family requests no wreaths, sprays, bouquets, only leis and loose flowers.
