Federico F. Astrologio Jr.
Federico F. Astrologio Jr. passed away at Wilcox Medical Center on April 25, 2019 at the age of 60. He was born on March 14, 1959, in Vigan, Ilocos Sur, Philippines.
He was the owner of Astro Sheet Metal. He finished at FEATI (Far East Air Transport Incorporated) University in Manila, Philippines. He worked in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, as a draftsman for five years before moving to Kauai in 1992.
He joined the sheet metal industry through Duct-er Sheet Metal in 1993, taught the sheet metal apprenticeship program at Kauai Community College, and started his own sheet metal company, Astro Sheet Metal, in 2015. He was a member of Sheet Metal Union Local 293.
He was preceded in death by parents Federico and Maria Astrologio, sister Betty Racho, and brothers Rudy Astrologio, Noli Astrologio and Crispin Astrologio.
He is survived by wife Delia (Bumagat) Astrologio, sons Frederick J. Astrologio of Lihue and Jared M. Astrologio of Lihue, sisters Florida (Cipriano) Tallano of Lihue, Mel Tapuro of United Arab Emirates, Felina Olegario of Manila, Philippines, and Relyn (Ronnie) Vergara of Manila, Philippines, nephew Harold (Lenny) Tallano, father-in-Law Felipe Restituto Bumagat of Lihue, brother-in-law Henry (Delia) Bumagat of Hanapepe, sisters-in-law Rozel (Wayne) Ebinger of Kapaa, Joanie Bumagat of Alaska, Marina (Lance) Nojima of Koloa, Aleli (Sammy) Cadiz of California and Ruena Bumagat of Washington, and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be held on Friday and Saturday, June 14 and 15, at Garden Island Mortuary in Lawai, with Friday visitation from 5:30 to 9:00 p.m., Saturday visitation from 8 to 11 a.m. and service 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.
The family suggests casual attire.

Fausto Sambajon Torres
Fausto Sambajon Torres, 85, of Kapaa, passed away peacefully at home on April 5, 2019. He was born in Poblacion West, Nagbukel, Ilocos Sur, Philippines, on July 22, 1933 and retired from the hotel and tourism industry as a houseman.
He was preceded in death by parents Guillermo and Crispina Torres and infant son Francis Torres.
He is survived by wife Regina Cabico Torres, children Sonny Torres, Juanita (Richard) Agaran, Boni (Cathy) Torres, Clarence (Melba) Torres, Anabel (Rhod) Giron of Lanai City, and Robert Torres, siblings Maria Torres and Remy Luzano of the Philippines, 15 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 1, at St. Catherine Church, with visitation from 8 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Catherine Church Cemetery.

Diana Napua Nakamura
Diana Napua Nakamura, 81, of Kapaa, passed away at Wilcox Medical Center on April 26, 2019. She was born in Lihue on June 21, 1937, and retired as a housekeeper with Pono Kai Resort.
She was preceded in death by husband Hidemi Nakamura, parents James &Margaret Panui, sister Kanani Kahaunaele, brother Paul Panui, and brother-in-law Michael Chandler.
She is survived by sons Reid Nakamura and Jeffrey Chandler Jr., sister Merilee Chandler, brother James (Carmen) Panui Jr., brother-in-law David Kahaunaele, sister-in-law Elaine Panui, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 1, at 10 a.m. at 3061 Kalihiwai Road.

James Arcibal Macadamia
James Arcibal Macadamia, 62, of Kapaa, passed away on May 15, 2019, at his home. He was born in the Philippines on Nov. 9, 1956.
He was preceded in death by mother Cecilia Macadamia.
He is survived by wife Laurie Macadamia, father Daniel (Edna) Macadamia, brothers Daniel (Beverely) Macadamia and Romeo (Cresencia) Macadamia, sisters Celda (Dave) Nicastro and Lilybeth Macadamia, daughters Jennifer (Xavier Chatman) Macadamia, Julie (Kelii) Nahalea, Natalie Macadamia, Patricia (Bernard Davis) Macadamia and Katherine (Steve) Udaundo, son Jameson (Leslie Agno) Macadamia, 11 grandchildren, and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, June 5, at the Kauai Veterans Center, with visitation at 9 a.m. and services at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Garden &Funeral Home.

Susan Lanette Uchida
Susan Lanette Uchida, 76, of Lihue, passed away on May 14, 2019 at Wilcox Medical Center. She was born in Modesto, California, on Oct. 23, 1942, and retired as a teacher with the University of Hawaii’s Kauai Community College after 34 years. In 2008 the UH Board of Regents awarded her the title of professor emeritus.
She was preceded in death by parents Edwin and Betty Hoatson.
She is survived by husband Alvin Uchida, brother Mark (Phyllis) Hoatson of California, sister Jennifer Hoatson of California, and nephew Jeffery Hoatson.
A celebration of life will be held for family and friends at a later date.

Steven Paul Hilbert
A celebration of life and memorial for Steven Paul Hilbert of Kekaha (May 2, 1954-Jan. 23, 2019) will be held at Polihale State Park on the beach fronting Fisherman’s pavilion at noon on Saturday, June 1, for a paddle-out.
The family requests those attending to bring loose flowers and no string lei. After the paddle-out, friends may gather at Joel’s house, 4471 Mamo Road, in Kekaha.
Claudia (Agor) Murray
Claudia (Agor) Murray, 72, of Puhi, passed away at Wilcox Medical Center on Dec. 10, 2018. Born in Honolulu on Nov. 19, 1946, she retired as a weighmaster for Jas. W. Glover.
She is survived by husband Michael Murray, son Clayton (Shawna) Viluan, daughters Raynett (Ron) Meers, Claudean (Jamie) Obar and Celina (Rollan) Yadao, grandchildren Calem Viluan, Cole Viluan, Caitlin Viluan, Thomas Meeks, Amanda Meeks, Kevin Meeks, Melina Obar, Rico Obar and Maverick Yadao, sisters Marcelina Idica, Rebecca Morris, Lorraine Hefner, Donna Apo and Phelicia Agor Reynolds, and brothers Nicholas Agor, Anthony Agor and Ron Agor.
A celebration of life will be held at the third pavilion at Anini Beach Park on Saturday, June 1, at noon.
