POIPU — The Poipu Shopping Village recently opened an area for vendors selling fresh, locally-grown fruit and vegetables, artwork, jewelry and more.
“This is to brighten the place more,” said Jennifer Ortal, market coordinator. “We just wanted to bring a little more color and excitement to an area.”
Her selection of vendors includes farmers who, due to time scheduling, could not participate in other markets offered because of family commitments. Others enhanced their offerings by expanding their market exposure.
Maile Shklov, an associate with Keoki’s Paradise, was one of those vendors, as she joined Manette DeCosta and Shay Jim with an offering of Keoki’s fresh ahi poke.
The Village Market takes place on the first and third Tuesday of each month from 2:30 to 5 p.m.
