Bill Simon whipped up some unique chili (Kevin Richards and Luke Meyers he played for the University of Hawaii basketball program had a discussion on regular mayonaisse versus hot mayo).

And if the discussion involves disaster, “Col.” Toni Torres had to be around along with the American Medical Response, the Kauai Police Dept., and the Kauai Fire Dept. who were set up outside where they could see the Kauai Soto Zen volunteers setting up for the bon dance (when did andagi replace malasada as one of the bon dance favorite foods?) coming up May 31 and June 1.
Kudos to the Ed Kawamura ‘ohana on another successful garden and farm expo — do you realize that tariffs have caused at least two price increases to lawn mowers? The spaghetti and chili hit the spot, and Ed was showing how alkaline water can get to the root of heavy cleaning without even using soap…did Ron Wood get a glimpse of that demonstration?
Ron Wiley had the honor of emcee-ing the 33rd Kauai Drug Court graduation that tied in with the first-ever Kauai graduation of the Kauai Veterans Court where Kaleo Carvalho was trying to keep all the dots connected for Mayor Derek S.K. Kawakami who was everywhere.
