Joseph James Dela Torre
Joseph James Dela Torre, 89, of Kekaha, passed away on April 20, 2019. He was born on May 26, 1929, in Kekaha, and worked as a mechanic for the Kekaha Sugar Company.
He is survived by wife Emily Dela Torre, daughters Toni Newlon and Annette Kim, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, May 30, at St. Theresa Church in Kekaha, from 9 to 10 a.m., where services will be celebrated at 10:15 a.m.
Private inurnment services will be held.
Borthwick Kauai Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.
James Arcibal Macadamia
James Arcibal Macadamia, 62, of Kapaa, passed away on May 15, 2019, at his home. He was born in the Philippines on Nov. 9, 1956.
He was preceded in death by mother Cecilia Macadamia.
He is survived by wife Laurie Macadamia, father Daniel (Edna) Macadamia, brothers Daniel (Beverely) Macadamia and Romeo (Cresencia) Macadamia, sisters Celda (Dave) Nicastro and Lilybeth Macadamia, daughters Jennifer (Xavier Chatman) Macadamia, Julie (Kelii) Nahalea, Natalie Macadamia, Patricia (Bernard Davis) Macadamia and Katherine (Steve) Udaundo, son Jameson (Leslie Agno) Macadamia, 11 grandchildren, and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, June 5, at Kauai Veterans Center, with visitation at 9 a.m. and services at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Garden & Funeral Home.
The family welcomes flowers.
