From May 20 through June 3 any Kauai resident who registers for the Kauai Marathon or Half Marathon at the Work It Out store in Kapaa or online at www.thekauaimarathon.com using promo code WIO19 receives $40 off a full or half marathon entry. Half Marathon discounted entries are $85 while discounted full marathon entries are $155.
Work It Out is at 4-1312 Kuhio Highway and specializes in swim, sweat and everyday island living. They are open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The 11th annual Kauai Marathon and Half Marathon is scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 1, in Poipu. It attracts about 2,000 runners, most in the half marathon.
The headquarters hotel is the Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa, which hosts the Wilcox Health Sports & Fitness Expo, Event Registration, Fun Run, Keiki Run and more.
