Basilia Velasco Asuncion
Basilia Velasco Asuncion, 86, of Hanamaulu, passed away at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on April 4, 2019. She was born in Bulag, Bantay, Ilocos Sur, Philippines on Nov. 28, 1932, and retired as a baker with Kauai Surf Hotel.
Preceded in death by her husband Irenio B. Asuncion; mother Juana Velasco; brother Jacinto Velasco; infant daughter Grace.
Basilia is survived by her children, Ayreen (Edgar) Valenzuela, Aida (Glenn) Kawamura, Ryan (Denise) Asuncion, Joven Asuncion, Jason (Rachelle) Asuncion; 7 grandchildren, Josh (Nichole Barnes) Valenzuela, Tasha Nalei (Nathan) Jugas, Lance (Allison Arakaki) Okasaki, Alayna (Christopher) Cate, Nicholas Arestad, Riley Asuncion, Emma Asuncion; 8 great-grandchildren; brother Domi (Carmelita) Velasco; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, May 10, 2019, at Immaculate Conception Church with viewing from 8 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.

Glenn Joseph Lardizabal
Glenn Joseph Lardizabal passed away on April 9, 2019 at the age of 64 in Lihue. He was born on March 25, 1955 and was the owner of Lee’s Rentals. He also served in the Hawaii Air National Guard.
He is preceded in death by his wife Karen Lee Lardizabal of Lihue and father Mauricio Lardizabal Sr.,
He is survived by his daughter Lynn “Binky” Goo; son-in-law Jesse Goo; granddaughters, Jessie and Jia Marie Goo all of Wailua; mother Solidad E. Fernandez; step-father Baco Fernandez; brothers, Maurice (Florence) Lardizabal Jr. of Lihue, Alfred (Heidi) Lardizabal of Oahu, Reynard Fernandez of Puhi; sisters, Maureen (Zachary) Octavio of Rio Rico, Arizona, Regina Aiken of Kent, Washington.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2019, at the Niumalu Canoe Club at Kalapaki in the afternoon. Family requests casual attire.
Lisa Leilani Brun
Lisa Leilani Brun, 52, of Keksha, passed away on March 26, 2019, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital. Born on Nov. 14, 1966, in Waimea.
She is proceded in death by her parents Vernon and Lorraine Brun, Sr; brother Vernon Brun, Jr.; grandparents, John and Ewa Brun, Clarence and Helen Kauahi.
She is survived by her companion Kurt Nakaya; sons, Clifton Decosta, Damien Decosta, Jr.; daughter Nicole Decosta; hanai daughter Jamie Ayau; grandchildren Makana, Keighleah and Kalena Castillo; hanai grandchildren Mykah and Maile Brun; brothers, Keith (Ola) Alejo, Arthur (Michelle) Brun; numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, April 27, 2019, at Garden Island Mortuary Chapel in Lawai from 9: to 10:15 a.m. Where services will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Family suggests casual attire.

Samuel David Kealiionamoku Rosa
Samuel David Kealiionamoku Rosa, worked for Willamette View in Portland, Oregon. Samuel passed away on March 21, 2019, in Portland, Oregon.
He was born in Los Gatos, California on Aug. 18, 1991. He is survived by his parents Keoni and Pamela Rosa of West Fork, Arkansas; brother Vincent Rosa of New York City, New York; sisters, Brittni-Rae (Brandon) Miller of Maricopa, Arizona, C-J Rosa of West Fork, Arkansas; paternal grandfather Gordon (Ananda) Rosa of West Fork, Arkansas; nephew Ace Miller; numerous friends, aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Celebration of life will be held in his honor in Aug. 2019, on Oahu.
Ernesto Paden
Ernesto Paden, 85, of Koloa, passed away on March 28, 2019, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital. Born on April 6, 1933, in Koloa, Ernesto was retired as a rock crusher operator with Grove Farm Rock Company.
He is preceded in death by his parents Donato and Margarita Paden; brothers, Margarito, Constancio, Carlito Paden; sisters, Emilia LaPuente, Lucia Alcares, Florencia Lewis.
He is survived by his wife Rosita ‘Rose” Paden of Koloa; son, Ernie Darin (Charlene) Paden of Lawai; daughters, Norine Ann Chatterjee of Koloa, Lorine Melissa Paden of Koloa; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Sofea Cagalawan and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, May 4, 2019, at St. Raphael Church in Koloa from 8:45 to 9:45 a.m. where Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. There will be a burial to follow at St. Raphael’s Church cemetery in Koloa. Family suggests casual attire.

Jeffrey John Weber
Jeffrey John Weber, 67, of Hanalei, passed away on April 17, 2019. He was born in Washington on July 10, 1951, and retired as a carpenter and importer.
Jeffrey is survived by his son Jeffrey (Rebecca) Weber; daughter Leilani Weber; granddaughter Lola Weber; brother Mike Weber.
A celebration of his life to be announced at a later date.

Kiyoshi Kawamura
Kiyoshi Kawamura passed away on March 13, 2019 in Kilauea.
He was born on August 24, 1918 in Hanalei.
He was a crane operator at Kilauea Sugar Co. and maintenance worker at Kauai High School.
He is preceded in death by his wife Hanayo Kawamura
He is survived by his son Steven “Herbie” (Charlotte) Kawamura of Kilauea, daughters Sharon (Robert) Paik of Wailua, brother Calvin Kawamura of Pearl City, sisters Hanayo Moritsugu of Kilauea, Elaine (Hideo) Watari of Hanalei, Sandra Miyabuchi of Kilauea, 6 grandchildren: Shelley Paik, Ryan (Stephanie) Paik, Stephanie (Keoki) Kawamura, Cara Colombini, Dante (Beth) Colombini, and Angela (Keith) Kaneko , 6 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild and numerious nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on April 27, 2019, at Hongwanji Mission in Kapaa with visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. and services to begin at 11 a.m. The family requests casual attire.
