Lillian Watari (she was the top individual fundraiser from the 2018 Kauai Visitor Industry Charity Walk) wanted to know what kind of lunch Ron Wiley (Happy 30th anniversary on being on the KQNG Radio airwaves! “What traffic?”) enjoys, and Mayor Derek S.K. Kawakami was detained because he presented an on-air proclamation celebrating Wiley’s achievements.
Happy birthday to Chauncy Cummings (remember her from the Special Olympics World Games?) to celebrated her special day doing the color run benefiting the Kauai Special Olympics at the Chiefess Kamakahelei Middle School where the Boys &Girls Club, Kauai, was wrapping up their basketball games.
Mahalo to Stephanie Shinno on being a social media guru, keeping everyone updated on the arrival of the flight from Seattle (Nathan Aiwohi said some of his Kapaa Middle School kids came home, earlier, and where was the Island School crew?) carrying all those video students and teachers coming home from the Student Television Network event … nope, no day off for Joyce Evens and her Menehune who go to the Clem Gomes Gym for volleyball … rest, so you don’t get that flu bug that’s still lingering.
