Kudos to Dave and Stephanie Chaikin for coordinating the Kauai Dinosaur Volleyball Tournament that wrapped up Sunday on the sands of Kalapaki Beach. Alfonzo Fonz Nartatez (remember when his son used to play in the tournament, too?) got a special award from Mark and Aurora (she was one of the finalists in the Womens Division) Peaahuli for his volunteerism with the tournament, and even going a step beyond to help coordinate Mark and Auroras wedding during one of the tournaments.

More beach fun is in the works as Brad Hiranaka of the Kauai Youth Football will be switching from football officiating to judging the KYC second Shoreline Fishing Tournament that gets underway just a minute past noon Friday (you have until Thursday to fill out a registration form). Fishing continues until the Sunday weigh in at the Nawiliwili Park from 10 a.m. to noon.
And don’t forget to visit Warren Perry and The Royal Order of Kamehameha at their annual Prince Kuhio Day protocol Saturday at the Prince Kuhio Park.
