Happy birthday to Jenny Saguid, who was surprised on her special day at the launch of the 2019 Visitor Industry Charity Walk held at the Aqua Kauai Beach Resort (two big events in less than a week?).

The event was an opportunity to meet Denny Anderson, the Boy Scouts of America, Aloha Council Kauai district executive, who is busy working on Camp Alan Faye at Kokee. Angela Hooper of the Girl Scouts was also on hand, noting that some of the Girl Scout troops are wrapping up this year’s cookie sales. The sales continue through the end of the month as long as supplies hold up.
Mary Lu Kelley of PATCH (People Attentive To Children) is getting excited about the STEP (Systematic Training For Effective Parenting) Family Fair coming up Saturday, April 6 at Kukui Grove Center.
Congratulations to Misha Laney and the ohana at Aloha Aina Juice Cafe that will open its doors this morning from 7 a.m. (is Stacie Chiba-Miguel going to come in to watch the crowd?) at Hokulei Village in Puhi.
Don’t forget to check out the Anahola Prince Kuhio Day celebration (why can’t we call it a “ho‘olaule‘a?”) at Anahola Beach Park that starts at 11 a.m. Saturday.
