Kudos to Dennis Brown (he’s the original Little Brother!), Nicole Cowan, and all the Big Brothers Big Sisters Kauai ‘ohana on another successful bowling fundraiser.
Marv De Vera made it a point to be there with his mobile DJ station, and Samira Siale had her Enterprise Rent-A-Car ‘ohana dressed as Pink Ladies and Men in Black (last year, we had the elephant who forgot her nose) having fun, and kudos to Mark Oyama and his Mark’s Place and Contemporary Flavors Catering for not only having all those ono grinds, but even having enough to field teams on the lanes.
OK, this is it! The final trimester of Kauai Interscholastic Federation sports starts in earnest with the Kauai High School softball team hosting Waimea High School in a single match at Isenberg Park (bring your jackets!), starting at 5:30 p.m.
This is a nice weekend to make the trek to Kilauea Elementary School where Farrah Krovoza (did she recover from that STEM Showcase from the Regional Science Fair, yet?). Jeremy Brown, and Kayti Lathrop get the Kilauea School students together for a trip to Madagascar (check out those lemurs!), Friday and Saturday nights, only… mahalo to Mary Lardizabal and the Kapaa Middle School Chorus and Ukulele Band for hosting the keiki showcase where these pockets of talent get “discovered.”
