Thank you for help
To the gentleman, JoAnn Yukimura and the young lady who helped me when my shopping bag broke in the crosswalk by Ace and picked up all of my stuff, thank you. You are very kind.

Quick response much appreciated
When our county ADA coordinator received my recorded message Monday, she phoned me for details on the problem. A sharply up-tilted metal water works cover — one of three parallel covers embedded in the sidewalk of Jerves Street, near Kali Street, Lihue.
This created hazardous pedestrian passage for residents, especially neighbors from Lihue Gardens elderly and disabled. Linda (coordinator) contacted the water department management, who quickly called me for a specific, detailed location, and explained that crews were already working assigned jobs but would be scheduled to address this hazard within the week.
Next day, as dog and I strolled or customary late-afternoon path, we happily, light-heartedly, enjoyed an even, level sidewalk. Yeah! Smooth passage from our marvelous, caring county workers who safeguard their fellow citizens and especially us kupuna.

The Kapaa Interfaith Thanksgiving Service and Luncheon enjoyed another successful year, and we could not have done it without many hands and many donations. The committee is a devoted group of women and men that works each year on this project. Everyone does more than their fair share and for that we thank you. Without you, it wouldn’t happen.
The Kapaa Interact Club was a fantastic group of teens that had the gym set up and decorated in record time. The women who made flowers, the sign-in people, the parking people, the drivers for home delivery, the servers of food and drink, the prep people and, of course, Contemporary Flavors for giving of their time each year so that many can enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving meal; we thank you all.
We appreciate Dennis and TGI for their wonderful coverage before and during the event, Esaki’s Produce, and all the many people who shared fruits and vegetables from their gardens. A big shout out to Hawaii Foodservice Alliance for the donation of loaves of tasty bread. Each family was happy to take one home with them. And by no means least, thank you to the clean-up crew that had that gym spotless in one hour!
For the donations to pay for the event, we thank all of you who gave. Your contribution was very much appreciated.
And of course, all of you who took part in the festive day, we were so happy to have you there.
