Yukie-Lynn Nalani DeSilva
Yukie-Lynn Nalani DeSilva of Kapaa passed away at Queen’s Medical Center on Jan. 26, 2019, at the age of 48. Born on Dec. 7, 1970, she was an advertising sales assistant for The Garden Island newspaper and an active CrossFitter at Kauai CrossFit.
She was preceded in death by father Yukio Higashi, brothers-in-law Alan and Shannon DeSilva, and sister-in-law Lynette Meatoga.
She is survived by husband of 29 years Kevin DeSilva, daughter Moana (Chris) Baltazar, son Dustyn (Michaela Manago) DeSilva, hanai son Kalani Kahaunaele, mother Olinda Higashi, sisters Maile (Jonah) Cummings and Anolani (Kelo Rivera) Higashi, brothers Gordon (Danice) Higashi, Alvin (Deborah) Higashi, Dean (Mel) Higashi, Blaine Kaneholani and Kenny (Kana Kaohi) Meatoga, in-laws Wayne and Rita DeSilva, brother-in-law Travis (Lisa) DeSilva, and grandchildren Cijay, Cyris, Christyn and Chloey Baltazar.
A celebration of life will be Saturday, March 9, at Anahola Beach Park, with visitation at 10 a.m. and services to follow.
Allen Genichi Harada

Allen Genichi Harada, 76, of Kalihiwai, passed away at Wilcox Medical Center on Jan. 24, 2019. He was born in Lihue on March 2, 1942, and was the former proprietor of Hanalei Wishing Well Shave Ice.
He was preceded in death by wife Diana Rylands, and parents Genichi and Rose Harada.
He is survived by sister Lily “Mieko” (Wilbert “Afuk”) Tai Hook, brothers Alfred “Yoshi” Harada and Ray “Bull” Harada, and numerous aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 2, at 5-2950 Kuhio Hwy., the Tai Hook estate at Kalihiwai, from 10 a.m. to noon.
Kauai Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

He is survived by two sons, one daughter and 10 grandchildren.
Private services will be held.

Louisa Luika Tachikawa, 84, of Lihue, passed away at Wilcox Medical Center on Feb. 18, 2019. She was born in Kalihikai on Feb. 11, 1935, and held numerous positions in Princeville and was an entertainer at Smith’s Boat Tours.
She was preceded in death by husband Lawrence Tachikawa, parents David and Louise (Haleakala) Niau, 19 siblings, and grandson Gavin Li‘inuikane Hernaez.
She is survived by daughters Halan (Sonny) Kamoku-Fernandez, Melinda (Herman) Hernaez, Edwina (Dana) Kamoku-DeMello, Francine (Tommy) Kamoku and Emmaline Kaili, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 2, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Lihue Ward, with viewing from 9:30 a.m. and services celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.
