Kudos to Kauai High School baseball coach Hank Ibia, his staff, and players for hosting a clinic for more than 60 young baseball players Saturday at Vidinha Stadium. Coach Hank and the Red Raiders go into action starting Thursday when they take on the Mid Pacific Institute Owls at the Walter Souza Invitational baseball tournament.

Kudos to Morton Yamasaki and all those Lihue Hongwanji Mission members on hosting a great Asian bazaar (the food was the first to go!) Saturday at the Kapaia church.
In the meantime, there was a lot happening at the Kauai Community Market (even Jean Souza stopped for lunch between Ocean Count craziness), when Aletha Thomas and Marissa Tanji of Monkeypod Jam moved to a location near the front of the market with its Hanalei Roasters coffee.
