Walter and Jeanie Lutz of Vancouver, Canada, were making the connections at the American Culinary Federation Kauai Chapter breakfast, enjoying the shindig with Ben and Melissa Desrogiers and family from Alberta, Canada, and even learning about the Trinity University (the Lutzs have two grandchildren that attend that college) group doing work at the Kauai Habitat for Humanity Eleele Iluna neighborhood.

Kudos to the leadership crew of the ACF and the Kauai Community College team for putting this event together for the past 33 years!
Cheryl Stiglmeier was busy on the fruit line (never even saw Chuck Brady until after the crowd started thinning out), but daughter Sadie was having fun making friends with Okinawa students Ami Kayo and Saki Matori at the pancake station (mahalo and kudos to Kamahalo Kauhane and the Kapaa High School boys basketball team for rolling up their sleeves and helping, too!) where who knew that Duke’s had that fabulous carrot cake!
Kelly “Omar” Gooding was having fun with Laurie Ho because he didn’t have to do the tents at the event where Coach Rob Kubota had to find room in the stroller for the Wayne Miyata (where was Edwin Vea to do his yearly holiday buys?) stash.
Cynthia Chiang (too much old age, Elvrine Chow!) said she was planning on attending with The Right Slice pie lady, but there were no painted rocks to be found this year.
