Hundreds of people flocked to the Kauai Marriott Resort &Beach Club for the annual hoike presented by Halau Hula O Leilani with kumu hula Leilani Rivera Low and Darryl Low.
The gathering featured entertainment by Low’s longtime friends The Sons of Makaha performing their unique Hawaiian music styling with performances by the halau’s dancers. The happening showcased the students’ learning of hula, Tahitian, and other Polynesian dances from the year.
A unique, Kauai-made, locally produced sale of items in the lobby area filled in the time with talk-story and shopping while customers waited for the doors to open.
