Three teams from the Kauai Interscholastic Federation advanced to the final races at the 2019 Hawaiian Airlines Canoe Paddling Championships on Saturday at Keehi Lagoon on Oahu.
Kapaa High School won silver in the varsity girls final. The Warrior girls finished second with a time of 04:25.61. Punahou School of the Interscholastic League of Honolulu placed first with a time of 4:13.26.
In the varsity boys final, Kauai High School placed seventh with a time of 04:07.21. Kamehameha Schools-Kapalama of the ILH was first with a time of 03:46.12.
In the varsity mixed final, Waimea High School finished in fifth place with a time of 04:22.11. Punahou won gold with a time of 04:03.80.
