WAIPOULI — Kauai Coffee 2, the first retail store outside of the Kalaheo Visitor Center, opened Wednesday morning at the Coconut Marketplace.
“We’re finally open,” said Eliza Corrado, store manager.
“We wanted to open earlier, but there were issues that needed to be worked on.”
The 779-square foot location is described as a boutique and sampling location where the full range of Kauai Coffee types are stocked.
Shoppers can also select from accessories like mugs and decanters to enhance the coffee experience.
“We also stock a variety of Kauai Coffee logo gear and some made-on-Kauai products,” Corrado said.
Work continues on the remainder of the location situated across the aisle from Bobby V’s and around the corner from Jojo’s Shave Ice.
Business has been up to expectations since opening earlier this week, and work on the sampling stations is ongoing.
The new location is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
A grand opening is scheduled later.
