HANAPEPE — Construction on the Salt Pond Beach Park effluent system project will begin on Jan. 7 and is scheduled to be completed by August.
Contracted by Earthworks Pacific Inc., the $1.2 million project will transfer effluent from leach fields in the park to be treated at the county’s wastewater treatment facility in Eleele.
Sewer work construction will require one lane road closures along portions of Lokokai and Lele Roads, Monday to Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Construction work will not affect the majority of parking at the park.
