Gwen Carveiro said the lights are on at Onihi Lane in Kalaheo — just in time for the final weekend of viewing before Christmas comes on Tuesday. She said daughter Raven was home for about a week to help get everything put together so people are able to check out the lighting displays.

This is also the weekend to check out the Joy of Christmas displays at the St. Raphael Church (check out the Aiden Gadingan section, the little guy celebrating his birthday last Sunday).
Kudos to Beth Haddock of Gaylord’s, who had the place in “party mode” to accomodate the Hawaii Foodbank Kauai Branch (Leadership Kauai is planning to do a contribution, said Shelley Paik), and Veronica (she’s Josie Pablo’s daughter!) pulled a page from her mother’s book when the sales department from the Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort &Spa were enjoying a holiday outing.
Kudos to Tim Takeshita and Samira Siale on the Enterprise Rent-A-Car contribution to the Hawaii Foodbank (nice to run into Ron Mizutani and Ashley Nagaoka — what? no video cams?), and more kudos to Tyler Navarro, who celebrated Tyler Navarro Day with the Kiwanis Club of Kauai (steak fry coming up in April!), and the Key Clubs from Kauai High School and Kapaa High School to contribute to The Salvation Army’s holiday distribution.
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
