LIHUE — The Kapaa Eagles Junior Varsity cheer squad from the Kauai Pop Warner Football League finished in second place in the JV Small Division competition during the National Pop Warner Cheer Championship that was contested in Orlando, Florida recently.
LIHUE — The Kapaa Eagles Junior Varsity cheer squad from the Kauai Pop Warner Football League finished in second place in the JV Small Division competition during the National Pop Warner Cheer Championship that was contested in Orlando, Florida recently.
The Eagles JV Cheer team was joined in Florida by the Lihue Raiders Mighty Mites football team that finished with a one win, one loss record at the National Pop Warner Super Bowl that was contested at the ESPN Wide World of Sports complex in Florida.
Other KPWFL teams involved in post season play included the Hanapepe Colts Junior PeeWee and the Kekaha Titans JV teams who traveled to the Big Island for the Wescon Pop Warner Division III Championship games involving Hawaii Pop Warner tackle football teams tangling with their mainland counterparts.
Both of the Kauai teams came up short against the mainland teams.
