Masako Murayama
Masako Murayama, 99, of Niumalu, passed away on Nov. 29, 2018, at Garden Isle Healthcare. Born on Nov. 24, 1919, in Hanapepe, Masako was a homemaker.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Denji Murayama; daughter, Rosetia Murayama; parents, Matsushi and Ushi Oganeku; sister, Jane, Nobuko, Iida and Michiko; brothers, David and Paul.
She is survived by her sons, Alan (Diane) Murayama of Honolulu, Calvin (Mary) Murayama of Texas; daughter, Jeanette Lopez of Lihue; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Private services will be held at later date.

Robert Takashi Michioka
Mr. Robert Takashi Michioka, 60, of Hilo, (formerly of Koloa), died Dec. 5, 2018, in the Life Care Center of Hilo. He was born in Lihue on Sept. 19, 1958, and was employed by Nick’s Garage in Hilo and the Hilo Hawaiian Hotel.
He is survived by wife, Lyndie Michioka of Hilo; brothers, Stanley (Shirley Viquelia) Michioka of Hanapepe, Melvin Michioka of Lihue, and Gary (Judy) Michioka of Kapaa; sister, Mary (Ken) Fuji of Mililani; numerous uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces and cousins.
Visitation will be held at Dodo Mortuary Chapel in Hilo on Dec. 17, 2018, (Monday) from 4 to 5 p.m.; memorial service will begin at 5 p.m. Casual attire is requested. No flowers.

Santiago Vilanova Perez
Santiago Vilanova Perez, 97, of Pearl City, passed away on Dec. 7, 2018 at Kauai Care Center. Born on Sept. 22, 1921, in Maricao, Puerto Rico. He worked as a plumber for Public Works Center at Pearl Harbor.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Lucy Vilanova.
Survived by his daughter, Carmen (Ernest) Koerte of Kapaa, Yolanda (Joseph) Lopez of Nevada; sons, Wilfred (Terri) Vilanova of Texas, Edwin (Regina) Vilanova of Texas; 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Mark Madrid
Mark Madrid, 56, passed away on Nov. 29, 2018, at Hale Kupuna. He was born on May 29, 1962 in Lihue.
He is survived by his mother, Rosenda Madrid; brothers, Jose (Juliet) Madrid, Angel (Gloria) Madrid; sisters, Petra Barbosa, Noberta Madrid, Abelina (Cuyler) Shaw, Juanita Abara; numerous, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2018, at Lihue Neighborhood Center for 10 a.m. Services will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Casual attire is requested. No flowers.
Inurnment to follow at Lihue Cemetery.
