Kudos to FM97 on presenting the Kauai Police Activities League with more than $500, representing proceeds from the station’s The Sale campaign earlier this year. Sgt. Lance Okasaki brought special KPAL hats for Ron Wood (he lucked out by wearing his Troy Barboza shirt, too), and BB Choi in appreciation of the gesture.
Happy birthday to Yukie DeSilva, who will be spending her special day NOT at the Lights on Rice Parade (don’t worry, Mayor Derek Kawakami is also missing the event due to a meeting in Honolulu).
Congratulations to Ed Kawamura Sr. (he’s got the Veterans Christmas Luncheon Saturday, too) who is the grand marshal. Ed got help from Kenny Ishii in decorating his float, but said Gabriel Cataluna won’t be able to make it because he’s a little under the weather.
But Sharron Weber is ready to roll (her truck was all done by Thursday!), and are we going to get more lights for Santa in the shower?
