A food truck, a giant bounce house, face painting and random prize giveaways added to the carnival-like atmosphere where KHS volunteers peppered the crowd with adoptable dogs, and a separate section showcased adoptable cats.
The Subaru Hawaii Share the Love campaign sponsored adoption fees for the 20 animals — 10 dogs, eight cats, and two guinea pigs — that were adopted.
The Kauai Humane Society is open Sundays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
