On Kauai, the Kalihiwai Pavilion on the North Shore by Walker Warner Architects received an Award of Merit.
The local chapter of the AIA’s Design Awards program is Hawaii’s oldest architectural recognition of its type.
The projects in competition were as varied as educational complexes, restaurants, stores, single-family residences, luxury condominiums, resorts and office buildings located across Hawaii and from as far afield as Tibet and Mexico.
Awards of Merit were determined by a panel of jurors from AIA Seattle.
