LIHUE — The Kauai Police Department is reminding the public to be vigilant in preventing property crime and scams during the holiday season.
“During the holidays, many people often let their guards down while celebrating with their loved ones,” said Acting Chief of Police Michael Contrades. “Our hope is not to scare anyone, but to remind all to be aware of criminal activity that can still occur year-round.”
Police are urging residents to be on alert to recognize suspicious activity and also reduce their chances of becoming a victim.
“Community involvement is a crucial element to solving and preventing property crimes,” added Acting Chief Contrades.
