Nalani Blane Kealaiki (yes, she’s Sarah Blane’s sister!) said she’s planning on coming back to Kauai for the Lights on Rice holiday parade and, hopefully, get invited by Sarah to walk in the parade, too! Nalani was on Kauai Friday to support Buffy Ofisa (Kamehameha Alumni food booth at the parade?) when Kamehameha School’s Jack Wong and Island School’s Shannon Graves signed a memo of agreement on a new partnership to give Native Hawaiian students and families greater opportunities to attend Island School. We have the Voyagers soccer team hosting Kailua for girls soccer today from 10 a.m.!

Kudos to David Sosner, Mark Perriello and all the bodies involved in the Kauai Chamber of Commerce’s final Business After Hours at Kukui Grove Center. There is more excitement this week as Kauai Bakery is taking orders for Thanksgiving pies, the mall celebrates Black Friday (Deja Vu already has a preview in their window), and there’s the big Kauai Christmas Parade (Mary Lardizabal said the Kapaa Middle School Choir and Ukulele Band are doing this for the first time!) Saturday during Small Business Saturday. What’s on the books for Cyber Monday?
Even Santa (is there time for disc golf?) is getting excited, having an opportunity to be on the air in Seattle (Dena Marie was doing her radio show from Kauai!), and Lyndsey Haraguchi Nakayama was a farm girl ninja doing a television piece during the mall’s Thursday Afternoon Market!
