Congratulations to Virginia Beck, Maryanne Kusaka, Lila Metzger and Dr. Mehana Vaughan for all they do for the community of Kauai! Kudos to David Sosner, Melissa McFerrin-Warrack and the Kukui Grove Center ohana on launching their new stage lights, sound system and new look for the food court area when Pipeline, a part of the U.S. Navy’s Pacific Fleet Marching Band (yep, they got to come early for the Veterans Day Parade) did the Aloha Friday entertainment thing under the new lights and sound … wow! Josh Pajela got some new “toys!”
Millicent Cummings created her own excitement on the other end of the mall (Melissa likes to call it “concourse”) when she had her own music for the opening of her show that is a “30-year walk through her life” starting with school art and finishing with an unfinished self portrait. Millicent will be doing another “party” (Carol Ann Davis can take this one in?) Friday when the show closes at the Kauai Society of Artists gallery at the mall.
And there is still time (today is the last day!) to check out Alden Pablo, Teddy Arroyo and all those people doing Kauai’s biggest little carnival at the Hanapepe Stadium complex.
