“I hope they have Alfredo sauce,” said Kelvin Moniz, executive director of the Kauai Independent Food Bank. “I like spaghetti, but they must have Alfredo sauce.”
Moniz was not disappointed when he arrived at the Spaghetti in the Pumpkin Patch fundraiser for the Visitor Industry Charity Walk at the Aqua Kauai Beach Resort near Hanamaulu.
He had the all-you-can-eat spaghetti with a choice of three sauces, a green salad and garlic bread, enhanced by offerings from the bake shop, keiki activities including a costume contest for young keiki through adult, and a silent auction.
More than 400 people took advantage of the resort’s hospitality that transformed the resort ballroom into a Halloween fantasyland with ample room for dining and enjoying the pasta while keiki flitted throughout the room, dancing to the music and engaging in the appealing attractions.
