Lavern Leistikow
Lavern Leistikow, a 14 year resident of Kauai, passed away at home on Oct. 6, 2018. Born and raised in Iowa, he was a WWII veteran, and a retired engineering manager at Boeing in Seattle.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lilabelle, and his father, Frederick.
He is survived by his wife, Jennifer; his daughter, Brenda; grandson, Jesse; his son, Bill; his brother, Ralph, and his sister, Delores.
Alga Perreira
Alga Perreira, 90, of Kamuela, HI, and formerly of Lawai, Kauai, passed away Oct. 22, 2018, in Hilo. She was born March 14, 1928, in Lawai Valley, Kauai, and was a homemaker.
She is survived by son, Rodney “Chuck” (Ruby) Perreira of Kamuela; daughter, Deborah (Mac) Castillo of Hilo; brother, James Silva of Oahu; eight grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Thursday, Nov. 1, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo from 9 to 10 a.m., where a Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Graveside committal service will be held at 9 a.m. Friday, Nov. 2 at the Hawaii Veterans Cemetery #2 in Hilo. The family suggests casual attire and that flowers be omitted.

Tevita Langi
Tevita Langi, 76, of Lihue, passed away at home on Oct. 22, 2018. He was born in Faleloa, Tonga on July 14, 1942.
Preceded in death by his parents, Inoke and Mele Langi; siblings, Fatani Langi, Niu Langi, Katokakala Makisi, Sinaipa Langi, Luisa Vaasi Tiueti and Valeti Langi.
Tevita is survived by his wife, Lesieli Langi; four children, Selomiti (Jimmy) Lopes, Puanani (Pita) Lalahi, Kesaia (Iteni) Atu, Sione (Nikki) Langi; 5 grandchildren; sisters, Selomiti Soakai, Lokeli Liavaa, Louhuni Tuihalafatai, Lesieli Toa; numerous aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, Nov. 2, 2018, at Lihue United Methodist Church with viewing from 8 a.m. Burial will be held at Kealia Cemetery at 3 p.m.
Kauai Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
