Make smart decisions with your vote
In answer to the rise of progressiveness letter (Oct 23, TGI). I suggest you to go to berniesanders.com and read the one page spread sheet entitled, “How Bernie Pays for His Proposals.”
Don’t forget that Bernie Sanders got 70 percent of the vote in Hawaii’s 2016 Democratic Caucus.
I urge all to register and make your informed decision in this election.
I will be off island Election Day and will vote today.
Chester Mazurowski, Kapaa
More work for the Supreme Court to do
I’m glad that the Hawaii Supreme Court has invalidated the question on the general election ballot regarding the constitutional amendment on giving the state the power to tax real property on top of the county taxes.
They have decided in favor of the Affordable Hawaii Coalition and the four counties.
Speaking of four counties, perhaps they should amend the constitution to eliminate the fifth County of Kalawao and the right of the governor to appoint the mayor (health director).

Oh Chester. Tiny minded Bernie is your savior? The Socialist recovering drug addicted Hippie from the 60’s with the wife who’s under investigation for fraud and theft of millions of dollars from a SCHOOL? What has our Country come to when such a fool is elevated in the minds of those who should know better? Shame on you!
“Don’t forget that Bernie Sanders got 70 percent of the vote in Hawaii’s 2016 Democratic Caucus.”
And don’t forget that Hawaii’s Superdelegates, including Hirono and Schatz, did not care that the PPP went for Sanders. I will not be voting for a corporatist this year either.
If the Democratic Party wants my vote, address my issues.
There it is folks, the attitude of just 70,000 voters across 3 States that put an incredibly harmful obscenity in the White House.
