LIHUE — The Elections Division of the Office of the County Clerk mailed ballots to about 14,000 absentee mail voters over the weekend. Absentee mail voters should have started receiving their ballots Monday.
Absentee mail voters who do not receive a ballot by Oct. 22 should contact the Elections Division at 241-4800.
The deadline to apply for an absentee mail ballot is 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 30. Absentee ballot applications must be received by the Elections Division by Oct. 30 to be valid.
To be counted, a voted absentee mail ballot must be received by the Elections Division no later than 6 p.m. on General Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 6.
