Leonila Encarnacion
Leonila Encarnacion, 66, of Lihue, passed away on Sept. 24, 2018, at Straub Hospital on Oahu.
She was born on Dec. 22, 1951, in the Philippines.
She was preceded in death by father Gelacio Tangonan and husband Elpidio Encarnacion.
She is survived by sons Edison (Melisa) Encarnacion of the Philippines and El-Joseph (Sherrydee) Encarnacion of the Philippines, daughters Eileen (Norbi) Encarnacion of the Philippines and Erlyn Encarnacion of Kauai, grandchild Joemarie Michael Encarnacion of Kauai, mother Perpetua Tangonan of the Philippines, brothers Rodolfo (Gilda) Tangonan of Kauai and Benjamin (Virginia) Tangonan of the Philippines, sisters Virginia Yadao of the Philippines, Isabel Bumanglag of the Philippines and Jolita (Ernesto) Agpaoa of Kauai, and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, Oct. 20, at Garden Island Mortuary chapel in Lawai from 5 to 9 p.m., where prayer services will be held at 6:30 p.m. Burial will take place in the Philippines.
The family suggests casual attire.

Isidro Sison Belmonte Sr.
Isidro Sison Belmonte Sr., 93, of Kilauea, passed away at his home on Oct. 4, 2018. He was born on May 15, 1925, in Pangasinan, Phillipines.
He worked at Kilauea Sugar Plantation and retired from Samuel Mahelona Memorial Hospital.
He was preceded in death by wife Esmenia Belmonte, and sons Andrew and Patrick Belmonte.
He is survived by sons Isidro Belmonte Jr. of Kilauea and Eric (Crystal Marie) Belmonte of Kilauea, daughter Brandie (Ross) Pimental of Kapaa, daughter-in-law Crystal-Rain Belmonte of Kilauea, eight grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, cousins, friends, and his beloved Merlin.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, Oct. 20, at St. Sylvester Catholic Church at 8 a.m., where Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Kilauea Japanese Cemetary.
The family suggests casual attire.

Frank Shigekichi Nonaka
Frank Shigekichi Nonaka, 89, passed away on Oct. 5, 2018, at Garden Isle Health care.
Born on Aug. 23, 1929, on Kauai, he was president and manager of Kauai Producers, and also served in the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by parents Jin Kuro and Takano Nonaka.
He is survived by wife Pearl Nonaka of Hanapepe, son Scot (Tweety) Merlyn Nonaka of Lihue, daughter Shari Nonaka of Lihue, grandson Chad Nonaka of Honolulu, brother Paul Nonaka, sisters Helen (Tokio) Uyeno and Clara (Chuck) McCollum, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, Oct. 27, at Garden Island Mortuary chapel in Lawai from 3 to 3:45 p.m., where services will be at 4 p.m.
The family suggests aloha attire and requests that flowers be omitted.

William Aki Sr.
William Aki Sr. of Anahola passed away peacefully at his home on Aug. 26, 2018, at the age of 76.
Born on Oct. 13, 1941, in Anahola, he formerly worked for the Princeville Community Association, where he retired as a security officer.
He was preceded in death by parents Miller Aki and MaryAnn Lovell Aki, and brothers Fred Aki Sr. and Alfred “Kalei” Aki Sr.
He is survived by wife Hazel Brede Aki, daughters Hazel (Harold) Chun, Regenald “Reggie” McCabe, Lavannah Aki and Lee Jay (Phil) Aki, sons William (Vonda) Aki Jr. and Leslee (Lisa) Aki, 16 grandchildren, 10 great-
grandchildren, one great-
great-granddaughter, sister Marian (Robert) Delapenia, brothers Richard (Priscilla) Aki, Melvin “Bully” (Sandra) Aki Sr. and George (Joyce) Aki, sisters-in-law Wanda
Aki and Helen Aki, and numerous other family members.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Oct. 20, at Anahola Beach Park on the state Department of Hawaiian Home Lands side, with services from 9 a.m. to noon. Lunch will follow.

Sidney Seiki Ikehara
Sidney Seiki Ikehara, 77, of Hanapepe, passed away on Oct. 5, 2018, at his home in Hanapepe.
Born on March 17, 1941, in Waimea, he was a retired warehouse manager with Koa Trading and Big Save, and also served inthe U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by father Seikichi Ikehara, mother Tsuruko Ueunten Landon, sister Sally Adolfo and brother DenisIkehara.
He is survived by wife Regina K. Ikehara of Hanapepe, son Wade (Jackie) Ikehara of Oahu, daughter Robyn (Justin) Murakawa of California, five grandchildren, brothers Clinton (Setsuko) Ikehara of Kauai, brother-in-law Christologo Adolfo of California, sister-in-law Rosita Ikehara ofKauai, and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Graveside services will be held at Kauai Veterans Cemetery in Hanapepe on Friday, Oct. 19, with visitation at 9:15 a.m. and service at 10 a.m. Inurnment will follow.
