Janath Hanlin of Janath Collections is happy, and Debbie Tuzon (she was going to check out lauhala master Margaret Saturday) is full of joy in their new digs at the Lawai Warehouse (Charlie Hiramoto …Shannon is on vacation … said the place comes alive on Fridays — especially at lunchtime!) where they celebrated Second Saturday last night, and we had football.

Janath said the new location kept her from vending at Edwin Vea’s Lawai Beach House restaurant craft fair Saturday, and she was joined by Kathryn Ledesma of Aphrodite’s Treasures (she said she has a lot of “trinkets and treasures” so her little space was constantly jammed with people checking out the variety of sunrise shells — nope, no living creatures were done away with to make hers because she has a very “integrous” guy — and all the other goodies).
Sandy Poenhelt (nope, no pies here) said her mom was visiting so they got to take a break from all the pies and rock painting (did you find some at the Hammers N’ Ales event?). Ivy Owen (her mom is in charge of Second Saturday) was having fun with Robin McCoy (yes, she has a piece in the Kauai Society of Artists’ Art Kauai exhibit, too!) trying her hand at seascapes (nope, Robin was working on sunsets).
Unfortunately, the clock hit the magic hour so Taylor Sakimae had to close his doors at Kauai Poke so the ahi katsu poke bowls gotta wait until the next time (or Second Saturday?).
