Sidney Seiki Ikehara
Sidney Seiki Ikehara, 77, of Hanapepe, passed away on Oct. 5, 2018, at his home in Hanapepe.
Born on March 17, 1941, in Waimea, he was a retired warehouse manager with Koa Trading and Big Save, and also served in the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by father Seikichi Ikehara, mother Tsuruko Ueunten Landon, sister Sally Adolfo and brother Denis Ikehara.
He is survived by wife Regina K. Ikehara of Hanapepe, daughter Robyn (Justin) Murakawa of California, five grandchildren, brothers Clinton (Setsuko) Ikehara of Kauai, brother-in-law Christologo Adolfo of California, sister-in-law Rosita Ikehara of Kauai, and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Graveside services will be held at Kauai Veterans Cemetery in Hanapepe on Friday, Oct. 19, at 9:15 a.m., with service at 10 a.m. Inurnment will follow.
The family suggests casual attire and requests that flowers be omitted.
Garden Island Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.
Kaizley ‘Pulama’ Kahalekomo Schmidt
Kaizley “Pulama” Kahalekomo Schmidt, 5 months old, of Waimea, passed away on Sept. 16, 2018, in San Diego.
She was born on April 8, 2018, in Waimea.
She is survived by parents Chelise “Kawai” Carlos-Kahalekomo and Andy “Kai” Schmidt, sisters Kairie Kahalekomo Schmidt and Kailye Kahalekomo Schmidt, brother Hailama Kahalekomo Schmidt, and numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, Oct. 13, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Kekaha Ward from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m., where services will be at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Hanapepe Hawaiian Cemetery.
The family suggests casual attire.
