Alakai O Kauai Charter School is having a grand opening celebration 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
There will be guest speakers, blessing, ribbon cutting, tours, entertainment and refreshments.
The tuition-free, project-based school that opened in August is at 2-4035 Kaumauli‘i Highway. It is about a mile off the highway on a dirt road at the Kahili Mountain Park campus.
About 140 students are attending kindergarten through fifth grade.
